World 1-3 PNM Spotlight #1

Before we get spotlighting, let me answer that question that about 95% of you might ask:

What is Pop'n Music?

Pop'n Music is a Japanese Rhythm Arcade game developed by Konami. The aim of the game is to hit the falling markers using nine colored buttons both pictured to the right. You must press these buttons in time to the music, given it's a rhythm game at all.

By correctly pressing the buttons, you'll fill the Groove Gauge (not pictured), and if you fill it until it glows red at the end, you pass the stage. Misses (Bads) will decrease the Groove Gauge.

The songs have 3 individual difficulties: Normal, Hyper and EX. Each of the individual difficulties are given numbers to show the overall difficulty. These number range from 1-50 (it used to be 1-43).

Pop'n Music currently has 22 installments, and it's still going:

pop'n music 1-11
pop'n music 12 Iroha
pop'n music 13 Carnival
pop'n music 14 FEVER!
pop'n music 15 Adventure
pop'n music 16 Party
pop'n music 17 The Movie
pop'n music 18 Sengoku Retsuden *
pop'n music 19 Tune Street *
pop'n music 20 fantasia
pop'n music Sunny Park
pop'n music Lapistoria

* indicates that we have these machines available in NZ.

So that's all I wanted to explain about the game. Now onto the spotlight!

Today's Spotlight:

Artist: Chūō-chi sanshutsu chīmu
Composition/Arrangement/Lyrics: Akira Yamaoka
Difficulty (out of 50): Normal (30) [Passed!]
                                Hyper (36) [Passed!]
                                EX (43)

Comment: The reason that I like this song is that it's really energetic and makes you feel like running across a road made out of rainbows in space (but really, you should be go-karting on it instead.) It's not my absolute favorite though; the main reason I wanted to share this first was that I have a picture drawn from long ago that I wanted to share. These pictures are drawn from the Colors 3D application on my 3DS and cropped into a square with GIMP.

It's a decent picture, isn't it? The pictures I've drawn will dictate which songs I'll share.
So that's it for today's spotlight! My spotlight basically boils down to Music Link, Summary, Comment and Picture (if I have one). Hope to see you in the next stage!

P.S I've decided to change my 'Non-Gaming Days' to 'Miscellaneous' instead. I've decided if I still wanted to talk about video games, I'll keep that option open.

P.P.S For those who are interested in seeing the gameplay, here's a gameplay video posted by PURURUN1210 (which is not me):
